St. Peter the Apostle

Simon is one of the twelve Apostles that Jesus chose to follow him.  Jesus sent them to do His work of bringing people to God. The Apostles gave up their home to follow Jesus.

Jesus said "You are Peter, a rock, and I will build My church upon you.  I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven."  This is the power to help people get to heaven. 


Peter was crucified, head downward, in Rome, because he said he was not worthy to die the same way as Jesus.
