Sacraments
In the Catholic faith, there are seven religious rituals or church ceremonies
called sacraments. These sacraments are rituals that are highly symbolic.
In Latin, sacramentum means "a sign of sacred."
The sacraments are ceremonies that indicate what is sacred, significant,
and important for Catholics. These are not ordinary celebrations but special occasions
to experience God's presence. Each sacrament acknowledges something that is happening
in the lives of Catholics who belong to the celebrating community.
