
Science Teacher
Mrs. Kim Elpers
Mrs. Elpers is our K-5 Science Teacher here at Sts. Peter and Paul School. She completed her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education at Indiana State University of Evansville (now USI) and followed her interest in science, which led to her Master's in Education with Science Endorsement degree from Indiana State University.
She was honored as the Evansville Diocese Teacher of the Year in 2004. She is a National Finalist for the Presidential Award for Excellence in Science Teaching. Mrs. Elpers was named a NASA Space Foundation Teacher Liaison and is very active in the NASA network. Mrs. Elpers received the Eli Lilly Teacher Creativity Grant and the Best Buy Teach Award in 2009. She has been selected for the NAEP Nation's Report Card panel. She also serves as the HASTI Elementary Director for the State of Indiana.
She resides in Haubstadt with her husband, Roger, and daughter, Paige, and attends Sts. Peter and Paul Church.
She loves to visit Fort Myers, FL whenever she has the opportunity to visit her grandchilden, Camryn Isabella and Emalee Kay.
